       聚乳酸全名为 Poly Lactic Acid (PLA)，又名聚丙交酯（Polylactide），是一种脂肪族聚酯。聚乳酸是一种生物可降解聚合物材料，由含糖、淀粉、纤维素等生物质材料为原料，经发酵制成乳酸，再由乳酸聚合而成。PLA 作为可降解和可堆肥的材料，能够有效减少传统石油基塑料对环境的长期污染问题。聚乳酸是通过植物资源（如玉米、甘蔗）发酵生成的乳酸聚合物，不依赖于石油等不可再生资源。这种可持续的生产方式契合了全球减少化石燃料使用的需求，推动其市场需求上升。

聚乳酸（PLA）产品类型：注塑级聚乳酸、薄膜级聚乳酸、片材级聚乳酸、纤维级聚乳酸。

聚乳酸（PLA）应用领域：餐具及器皿、食品饮料包装、电子和电器、医疗与个人护理（手术缝合线、骨科支架等，因生物相容性高且可被人体吸收）、3D打印耗材等。

       目前PLA已经实现产业化，主要通过丙交酯开环聚合法（即由乳酸先生成丙交酯，然后再开环聚合成聚乳酸，又称二步法。

全球聚乳酸市场的实力分布主要集中在几个主要生产商手中，其中 NatureWorks 、 Total Corbion PLA 和丰原集团占据市场的主要份额。

       Polylactic acid (PLA) is one of the most promising biopolymers as it can be produced from nontoxic renewable feedstock. PLA has emerged as an important polymeric material for applications in both the engineering and medical sectors on account of its properties such as biocompatibility,biodegradability,mechanical strength and process ability.Lactic acid (LA) can be obtained by fermentation of sugars derived from renewable resources such as corn and sugarcane.

      The physical observation of PLA has its significance in the prospect of industrial applications. It is shiny and transparent, remains stable at low temperatures, has modest oxygen and water permeability, and has high grease and oil resistance. These properties make it suitable for manufacturing film, bottles, cups, and trays.Plasticization of PLA can also be carried out to improve its crystallinity by blending with other polymers such as starch, citrate ester, polyethylene glycol, sorbitol, and oligomeric lactic acid.

     The power distribution in the global polylactic acid market is mainly concentrated in the hands of several major producers, among which NatureWorks, Total Corbion PLA and Fengyuan Group occupy the major share of the market.
